Coronation Street fears for Stu after restaurant fire

Fans of Coronation Street were worried for Stu's future while watching tonight's episode.

Stu was stuck in a fire that Zeedan had started in the Speed Dahl restaurant.

Zeedan set fire to his restaurant as he hoped to be able to claim off the insurance, after his van containing his dirty money was stolen.

Hearing about the theft, Hashim warned Zeedan that he wanted his money and he was to get it by any means necessary, even if that meant burning down his own restaurant.

Zeedan tried to refuse thinking that the idea was ludicrous but when Hashim started threatening him by saying he would burn down his nan's house instead, Zeedan had second thoughts.

He turned on the gas on the cooker and left the door open so that Hashim's brothers could go and set it alight.

The building went up in flames, unbeknown to Zeedan that Stu was still inside.

When Zeedan realised he ran back into the burning building to pull Stu out, but he was unconscious. Zeedan collapsed onto the floor as he pulled him outside.

To the bystanders Zeedan appeared to be a hero, as people began to pass blame to Stu for starting the fire while he was carted away in an ambulance.

Fans took to Twitter to share their concern for Stu's future - would he live, or would he be blamed for the fire?

Michelle said: "If they blame Stu for the fire I will riot! He's been through so much #Corrie."

Ryan said: "I hope Stu doesn't get the blame for the fire. #Corrie."

Ox said: "Stu had better survive that fire #Corrie."

Connor said: "This fire ain't going to do much good for Stu's cough.. an he was doing so well. #corrie"
