The UK's first soap, Corrie launched on ITV on December 9, 1960.
In a belated celebration to the soap's big day, Julia decided to take viewers onto the set.
In a video posted to her Instagram page, she can be seen wearing a red ITV Studios Coronation Street coat.
Facing the camera, Julia tells Corrie fans: "Nice day here in Weatherfield", before the camera pans around to show Jack.
"Jack, Jack! Hi! What day is it?", she asks.
A bewildered looking Jack replies: "Friday", before Julia asks "And what date was it yesterday?"
"Ninth", he replies, "of December".
Julia asks what that means, with Jack pausing for a second before a huge smile appears on his face and he adds: "The anniversary of Corrie", while kicking his leg up in the air.
Julia then joins in with: "Yay, happy anniversary. Sixty one years whoop whoop!"
Captioning the video, Julia said: "Happy 61st Anniversary @coronationstreet! #61years #beststreetintheworld"
