Coronation Street fans 'work out' who gets baby Alfie after horror crash

Coronation Street fans have a theory as to what happens next with baby Alfie after Toyah and Imran were in a horrific car crash.

In recent weeks, viewers have seen Abi and Imran locked in a vicious custody battle over their baby son Alfie. As things intensify, Weatherfield residents will face the consequences in an unmissable week which promises chaos and carnage on the cobbles.

Tuesday's episode concluded with Imran and Toyah's car colliding with a building site. Both were seen unconscious as the credits rolled.

On Wednesday, viewers saw Imran save his wife's life by getting her out of the car just seconds before piles of bricks landed where she had just been sitting. As Toyah was put into an ambulance, Imran demanded to be taken with his wife.

But he collapsed at the scene, as the ambulance drove away. Paramedics tried to save him but their attempts were unsuccessful.

As viewers took in that he had died, some had a theory as to what would happen next to baby Alfie. Taking to Twitter, Chez said: "Does that mean Abi won't get her baby because Imran isn't available to testify? Will Kevin be in trouble for the car coz they might think it's attempted murder?"

Dayjur said: "Don't get too comfortable with the baby, Abi. You and Kevin will soon be off to the clink for murder". Jayne Knight said: Toyah tells police about Abi kidnapping Alfie and Kevin tampering with the car so Toyah keeps Alfie"
