Coronation Street fans will not be told factory roof collapse culprit for months

This Morning’s soap queen Sharon Marshall has revealed Coronation Street fans will have to wait months to find out who caused the factory roof collapse.

Rana Habeeb was killed in tragic scenes after the roof caved in, leaving her fatally injured on her wedding day to Kate Connor.

While the roof to Carla Connor’s factory was already damaged, a mystery culprit caused further destruction to it, leading to it collapsing.

Viewers have yet to find out who caused the incident, while a number of characters are under suspicion including Peter Barlow.

How did Rana die in Coronation Street, and what happened to the factory?

Now, speaking on This Morning on Tuesday, Sharon confessed it would be a while before the truth came out.

Those fans wanting to know who was on the roof in a recent scene could be waiting until at least May for any answers.

She told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “We are not going to find out who was behind it and who this villain is for ages, and ages, and ages.

“So we’re gonna be playing a guessing game for quite a few months now.”

She added of an estimated air time: “Probably timing it around a major award ceremony…”

Phillip then quizzed whether she meant the British Soap Awards 2019 in May or June, to which she laughed and said: “Exactly, I guess it might be around then.”

Carla, Seb, Gary, Nick, Robert and Peter are all suspects (ITV)

Corrie often airs a big week of episodes towards the end of May, when it’s moved to the 9pm slot to make way for the Britain’s Got Talent live shows.

Meanwhile, Weatherfield residents are still coming to terms with the loss of Rana, with Carla soon set to face the blame.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
