Coronation Street fans have turned on Roy Cropper after his brutal attack on Carla Connor.
The cafe owner, who is known for his kind nature, turned 'evil' as he blasted his supposed friend in a savage rant.
Roy was furious that the residents of the cobbles kept asking him about Carla and using his flat to hold private conversations.
He finally snapped and showed a darker side when Carla and Peter returned from her police interview.
Calling her out, Roy said: "A young woman is dead and all you and he seem to care about is aggregating all responsilibity."

Angry Roy insisted he would not be told what he can do in his own home - especially not by Peter barlow.
He shouted: "I make no claim of moral superiority but, I repeat, I will not be spoken to in that way in my own home."
Turning his attention back to Carla, he said: "And you, you'd better move out immediately."
Peter didn't make the tense situation any better by arguing back, leading Carla to tell him to stop.
She was resigned to defeat and thanked Roy for letting her stay before packing her bags.
Things didn't get any better when Carla bumped into sister Kate while moving into No.1.
Kate screamed: "Do you think i give a rat’s backside what your living arrangements are? You’re a murdering b**** and nobody wants you here."
Some Coronation Street viewers took to Twitter to slam Roy.
One livid viewer said: "Roy Cropper, you are dead to me. Cancelled. Do not pass go. BYE"
"Roy is still cancelled until further notice," added another.
A third said: "I really dislike Roy at this moment kicking Carla out!"
However, other Corrie fans actually backed Roy for kicking Carla out of his flat.
"Attaboy, Roy! Well done for putting that clown Barlow in his place and kicking Carla out," said one fan.
Another added: "Well done Roy. About time!"
"Roy Cropper finally losing his s*** after 127 years of putting up with everyone else’s s***," said a third.
