Coronation Street fans thrilled as character finally gets justice

Coronation Street fans were thrilled tonight as Yasmeen finally disclosed some of Geoff's cruellest actions to granddaughter Alya.

Yasmeen saw Alya in prison and they spoke about her and Geoff's relationship.

Yasmeen went into a long monologue and said: "He gets my pain, when you've let down every man in your life like I have.

"As you get older you realise that no one really likes you, I grate on people, too bossy, too opinionated, it comes across as snobby.

"Geoff wanted people to love me the way he did and I did get better for a while, in the end my voice was like nails on a blackboard to him, my questions drove him mad."

Yasmeen then told Alya about Geoff cooking her beloved chicken Charlotte Bronte.

She said: "There wasn't anything to do except be quiet, Charlotte Bronte didn't need to die."

Alya said: "What Geoff was jealous over a chicken?"

Yasmeen continued: "He waited until I took a mouthful he killed her, plucked her and cooked her.

"I took my eye off the ball and Charlotte paid the price."

Alya was shocked by her gran's admission and viewers at home were finally thrilled that Geoff's crime had come to light.

Karren said: "I'm still bloody outraged over that chicken!! #corrie R.I.P Charlotte."

Faith said: "I haven't cried this hard since Yasmeen bottled Geoff... she finally told Alya about Charlotte!"
