Coronation Street fans stunned by Evelyn's dig at Holly Willoughby's 'teeth'

Coronation Street fans were taken aback tonight as Evelyn Plummer appeared to make a dig at Holly Willoughby's teeth.

Tyrone's grouchy gran, played by Maureen Lipman, continued to mock her daughter-in-law Fiz for home schooling daughter Faith.

Fiz was ecstatic after receiving a letter in the post revealing that they had a meeting on Friday about Hope's appeal.

Hope wasn't too happy, sulkily asking: "Does that mean I have to go back to school?"

"I don't know darling but fingers crossed!" Fiz exclaimed.

Evelyn Plummer seemed to make a dig at Holly tonight (ITV)

"Well they'd better get a move on," Evelyn remarked. "Sitting there in her pyjamas."

Fiz insisted that she had already sorted her lesson plan for the day but Evelyn snorted at the idea.

She remarked: "Ooh, let me guess - 9.30, Dora the Explorer, 10.30 This Morning with what's his name and her with the teeth. I don't know whether they get on, those two."

And fans quickly jumped to Twitter to comment, with one writing with a crying laughing emoji: " Her with the teeth #Corrie."

Another wrote: "@thismorning @Schofe @hollywills '10.30 This Morning with what’s his name and her with the teeth' #corrie."

A third questioned: "'Her with the teeth' - is that Holly or Ruth? #Corrie."
