Coronation Street fans spot problem with Corey's press conference

Coronation Street fans spotted a problem with Corey's press conference after he was forced to give a statement.

Last month, Corey was found not guilty of Seb's murder, with Kelly taking the blame instead.

Following his court case, Corey returned to the cobbles and was retained by Weatherfield County FC.

The decision for him to play in the football team angered many residents, especially Seb's girlfriend Nina.

On tonight's show, Nina pinned posters around Weatherfield demanding Corey 'tell his truth'.

She was then threatened with libel by Corey's dad.

But she continued, posting a status on Facebook saying 'Corey is a murderer'.

Corey then held a press conference to discuss the matter.

He said: "You probably all heard about the murder of Seb Franklin.

"I was one of the suspects but I was found innocent. I'm glad it's out. I was never comfortable being anonymous and I don't blame the friends and family for lashing out their grieving."

However, fans picked up on the fact Corey said he was 'found innocent' not 'is innocent'.

Mandy tweeted: “I repeat, I was found innocent', said Corey. Not once, but twice. Note that he didn’t say, 'I AM innocent'.”

Kellie wrote: "I love the way Corey said 'I was found innocent', not 'I am innocent!!' That spoke volumes. Cannot wait to see his downfall."

A third commented: "ARGH! Pet peeve... Corey (and everyone else tried in court) are never found innocent of any crime, they’re found NOT GUILTY. Not the same as 'innocent'! Corey, you master manipulator!"

And Dion pointed out: "I was found innocent not I’m innocent."
