Coronation Street fans blasted Ed tonight as his actions allowed Todd to steal from his yard.
Early in the episode, Paul was shocked to discover that he'd not been paid, needing the money to pay Dev for his rent.
But in the builder’s yard, Ed admitted he had a cash flow problem.

Meanwhile, Todd met up with Will and told him that he'd need his help to steal the heat pump.
However, Todd failed to notice Will steal his engagement ring.
Later, Todd demanded his ring back, but Will told him he will get his ring when he hands over the cash.
Coming up with a plan, Todd lured Ed out of the builder’s yard on the promise of a lucrative job.
He then borrowed the undertaker’s van with the intention of using it to transport the stolen heat pump.
But as Todd set out about stealing the heat pump, Ed returned to the yard.
However, fans couldn't believe that Ed left the builder's yard without locking up.
Samantha tweeted: "Yeah don’t lock up ey Eddie!!"
Deano added: "So Eddie doesn't even lock the gate."
Bradley wrote: "He is an absolute idiot leaving his business open for thieves to help themselves."
Pamela tweeted: "Ed's so eager to please a 'customer' he couldn't even be bothered to lock the yard. Ridiculous. Ed the builder. Forget it...I'd rather ask Bob the builder."
And Ryan said: "Hold on how come Ed didn't lock up after himself when he left??"
