Coronation Street fans spot big problem with moving storyline

Coronation Street fans spotted a big problem with a storyline tonight as the Platts and the Metcalfes prepared to move out of their homes.

The two families have lived in the same houses on the Cobbles for years, but tonight they packed their boxes ahead of the homes being demolished.

Tim and Sally contemplated a move to Spain while the Platts said they were moving to the "dog and gun" estate.

Abi pleaded with David Platt not to leave saying a judicial review could come back and save their homes, but David said they had to move today as they were completing.

David continued to load the van, but viewers spotted a big issue with the storyline.

Many of them took to twitter to say the families surely wouldn't be moving because then there would be hardly any Coronation Street left.

Catherine said: "It’s too much effort to invest in this nonsensical storyline when we all know the development won’t go ahead."

@soafspectator said: "I'm sorry but I cant help but find this whole storyline so stupid. We all know this demolition plan isn't going to happen because then the street wouldn't be the street etc etc blah blah blah."

Sharon Coates said: "I'm sorry, but this storyline was a non starter right from the beginning, if everyone moves...NO Coronation Street."

And Tina said: "Can't see anyone moving today somehow."

*Coronation Street continues at 7:30pm on ITV on Wednesday
