Coronation Street viewers realised they recognised a character on the cobbles on Wednesday in the form of Corey Brent's father, Stefan.
Stefan is an influential and wealthy councillor who is desperately trying to get Corey off the murder charge against Seb Franklin, who died last week.
This means he is encouraging Corey to frame Kelly Neelan for the attack against Seb and Nina, who managed to survive but is badly injured.
But as Corey and Stefan spoke to each other at home and at the police station, viewers were left scratching their heads trying to work out where they recognised the latter, who is played by Paul Opacic.
Paul has had a starring role in Emmerdale, where he played Kim Tate's second husband Steve Marchant from 1996-1999.
He also appeared in Hollyoaks as Carl Costello from 2010-2013 and was last seen in 2018 after making a guest appearance on the Channel 4 soap.
Paul also played Mark Waddle in TV drama Bad Girls which aired from 1999-2006.

Coronation Street viewers despise his character as Stefan, furious at how he is blindly defending his son, who took part in the brutal attack, and instead framing Kelly, who is being charged with the murder.
"Corey’s dad obviously doesn’t know his own son #Corrie," wrote one.
"What alternative universe does Corey's dad live in??? "You're a good lad" - at getting away with murder ffs #Corrie," ranted another.
A third wondered: "I'm not sure who's worse. Corey's dad or Kelly's mum?! #Corrie ".
On Wednesday, fans pointed out it was unlikely Kelly could have beaten Seb and Nina and acted alone while also managing to fend off Corey, who claims he was trying to stop her.
One tweeted: "As if the police would believe that Kelly could push Seb down to the ground and that Corey wouldn't be able to stop Kelly. She's half the size of him. #Corrie ".

Another wrote: " #Corrie not sure how Kelly is supposed to have single handedly beaten BOTH nina and seb up at the same time..."
A third added: "I'm not sure I believe Kelly tried to pull Corey off Seb. He's a lot bigger than her for a start, and would she rly risk him turning on her?
"Plus the way Corey talked to Kelly after the attack, advising her what to do etc sounded like they both took part in the kicks tbh #Corrie ".
