Coronation Street fans predict reunion for Sophie and Kate after Rana death twist

Coronation Street fans are speculating that bosses will throw Kate Connor and Sophie Webster back together, following the tragic death of Kate’s girlfriend Rana Habeeb.

Rana was killed off in tragic scenes last week, after she was crushed by the debris after being trapped inside the damaged factory.

A mystery culprit was seen climbing onto the roof before it happened, causing damage to the building that was already unsafe.

Rana tragically passed away with Kate by her side, and in the latest episode Kate’s ex Sophie paid her a visit.

How did Rana die in Coronation Street, and what happened to the factory?

Wanting to check up on her, she admitted she was sorry to hear about Rana and gave her a condolences card.

But fans took the scene as a hint that the pair might reconcile after Rana’s death.

Kate and Sophie dated briefly before Kate got with Rana, and almost got together in 2016 but it never worked out.

Now, viewers have questioned whether there is a future for the pair after all, and whether Kate will seek comfort in Sophie.

Taking to Twitter , viewers shared their thoughts with many not sure about the idea.

One fan said: “Sophie/Kate romance brewing......too soon?"

Another tweeted: “Kate and Sophie together by the end of the week.."

A third commented, not sure on them being a couple: “I hope the writers are not going to pair Kate and Sophie together so soon after Rana’s death."

This was echoed by another fan who said: “Sophie doesn’t waste any time does she."

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
