Tonight's Coronation Street finally saw Emma's mum being unmasked as Fiona Middleton - but fans see a huge twist coming.
The character, played by actress Angela Griffin, made a return of sorts ahead of her comeback to the ITV soap.
As Fiona called Emma, Audrey spotted a photo of Fiona flash on to her phone screen and was stunned.
Her return to Weatherfield was confirmed recently - as was the shocking news that she was the mother of resident Emma - reports Mirror Online.
On Monday's episode, Emma learned upsetting news when her father let slip he wasn't her biological dad.
Amid his cancer battle, he told her he always loved her "as his own" as he slipped in and out of conciousness.
As Emma confronted her mum over the phone, Fiona confirmed all and revealed he wasn't her real father.
Steve is set to find out in the upcoming episodes that he could be Emma's father - but fans think another man could be her dad.
Amid fans hoping for Fiona to make a return to Weatherfield, viewers now think the suspicions about Steve are all a red herring, and that Jim McDonald could actually be Emma's dad.
Fiona cheated on Steve with Jim back in 1997, so it isn't likely that Emma is his daughter because she was conceived in 1998.
But this hasn't stopped fans thinking this is the case, with Glenn Writer saying: "Although, maybe Fiona has kept this a secret for good reason. It could be Jim, so it could. #Corrie "
Archie Hancock said: "I think Emma is Jim’s child. #Corrie #CoronationStreet #Emma "
And David Mackay said: "We probably all think that Steve is Emma's dad when in reality he'll be her half sister, I reckon Jim is Emma's dad."
