Coronation Street fans predict Carla paternity twist as Johnny's long-lost friend drops hint

Coronation Street fans were convinced that Johnny Connor's long-lost 'friend' was out for revenge after he dropped a big hint tonight.

Rovers owner Johnny, played by Richard Hawley, escaped the cobbles after discovering someone from his past had turned up.

Newcomer Scott Emberton, played by Tom Roberts, shocked Johnny when he appeared in the pub - leading to Johnny's quick getaway abroad with partner Jenny.

Having left daughter Carla in charge of running the Rovers, she bumped into Scott tonight as he stayed in one of the pub's guest rooms.

Carla and Scott got chatting tonight and hinted at what Johnny was desperate to hide.

As she was left stunned after discovering Scott knew her father, she asked what he had been like.

"I could tell you a few stories," he teased, but added: "I'd probably have to run them past him first."

"That bad, was he?" Carla quipped.

"Not worse than any young lad," Scott responded before pointing out that he had loved her mum.

But when he pointed out that "Louisa" was a "top lass", she corrected him by saying that hadn't been her mum.

"I guess he wasn't much of a saint, then," Scott responded slyly.

She revealed that her mum was Sharon Donovan, but fans were convinced that Scott knew that already and was out to ruin Johnny's life.

While some speculated he was a scorned lover of Sharon, while others that he was Sharon's brother or even Carla's dad.

One tweeted: "I already think this bloke is Carla's father. #Corrie."

While another commented: "I’m scared for someone else to have a connection to Carla.. #Corrie."

A third wrote: "Scott is really giving me the creeps #corrie."
