Coronation Street fans have pointed out what they feel was a major mistake by Sarah Platt, as she wore a face mask during Monday's episode.
Tina O'Brien's character, who visited her ex Gary Windass in hospital during the latest episode, was caught out by eagle-eyed viewers of the soap.
She was wearing her face covering to keep herself and others protected amid the Covid-19 pandemic, but decided to remove it in the hospital room during her visit to see Gary.
Things quickly turned heated as the pair began rowing about the recent incident in which Gary jumped in front of a van to save Sarah, after she learnt he killed loan shark Rick Neelan.
Instead of letting his secret die with Sarah, he leapt to her rescue and took the savage hit.
Sarah took off her mask during the hospital visit so that Gary could hear her more clearly, despite being in a hospital, which is very high-risk for ill patients.
ITV viewers were left completely confused and a little worried as she pulled the mask off her face without hesitation.
Her actions started a whole Twitter storm, with one writing: "Why's Sarah just taken her mask off?"
As another concerned viewer asked: "Somebody want to explain why Sarah would remove her mask INSIDE the hospital?"
A third added: "Hold on.... you're supposed to leave your mask ON Sarah, otherwise it kind of defeats the purpose."
"Surely Sarah needs to keep her mask on in the hospital?" a fourth quizzed.
A fifth warned: "Keep your mask on Sarah, you're still in hospital."
Sarah's hospital visit comes as Gary begged her not to reveal anything about his secret.
However Sarah was torn as she knew that her husband Adam Barlow was right about her ex all along.
