Coronation Street fans make the same observation as Jack P Shepherd spoils 'fake memories' with on-screen sister

Coronation Street fans were left making the same observation as Tina O'Brien took to Instagram with a sweet video. The actress, who is known for playing Sarah Barlow in the ITV soap, was clearly in a reminiscent mood after she picked up a gong at the British Soap Awards.

The awards ceremony this year took place at The Lowry theatre in Salford - just across the water from the ITV set - on Saturday (June 3) in front of a live audience before being aired on ITV and ITVX on Tuesday (June 6).

The Manchester-set soap was the biggest winner on the night, scooping six awards. And the iconic Platt family, who have suffered every high and low imaginable in Weatherfield, were honoured as "Best Family" on the night.

On Monday (June 5), as the win settled in, Tina took to Instagram where she shared a video she had taken of a photo album. The pictures featured were all of Tina and her co-star, on-screen brother Jack P Shepherd, who is famed for playing David Platt in Corrie.

It showed them together with their on-screen family, including Gail Platt actress Helen Worth and Audrey Roberts legend Sue Nicholls, as well as separately as babies and growing up. "Life imitating art imitating life @jackpshepherd88 @coronationstreet," Tina, who turns 40 this year, captioned the post.

She set the video to Guy Meets Girl track, Send Me on My Way, before posting to her 509,000 followers. And Jack was quick to comment as he pointed out the 'fake' memories, writing: "Amazing, all those memories and fake memories," alongside a crying laughing emoji. Meanwhile, Todd Grimshaw co-star Gareth Pierce, replied: "Platt Supremacy," with a string of love heart eyes emojis.

Fans were also loving the trip down memory lane. @payntes said: "Aww this is so sweet." @k.chandler1964 commented: "Lovely looking back on your photos, they look amazing Tina." @fancyfacephotobooths wrote: "That's brilliant." @jade_vmc shared: "Absolutely amazing! Nothing quite like 90’s Corries! The platts made this soap!"

Others, meanwhile, couldn't help but comment how much they could see Tina's daughter, Scarlett, in the snaps of her as a youngster. @heatherhendersonx replied: "You can see so much of Scarlett in all your photos." @dazz15 commented: "Defo see the young lady Scarlett look so alike in these earlier pics." @leastephenson07 added: "You are beautiful still look so young can see scarlett in you so much."

It comes after Tina shared how her daughter's latest TV appearance left her in tears. Scarlett, whom Tina shares with former partner and ex-co-star Ryan Thomas, made her acting debut last year in the reboot of Waterloo Road alongside her actor uncle Adam Thomas and cousin Teddy. She has since returned to screens in the latest series which sees Izzy Charles continue to navigate the loss of her mum, Chlo Charles.

In one of the latest scenes in the school-based BBC One drama, Izzy was seen emotionally paying tribute to her late mum who tragically died hours after being knocked down by a car outside the school amid a student protest.

She was on stage with new pal Tonya Walters, played by Summer Violet Bird, as they read out a heart-wrenching poem about friendship, designed to be between Izzy and her mum, as the teachers, their fellow pupils and Izzy's dad, Donte, watched on with tears in their eyes.

And while the scenes left many viewers in tears, it was clear Tina was overcome with emotion as she watched her daughter act out the tear-jerking scenes. Alongside a clip of the moment shared on Waterloo Road's Instagram account, the soap star shared a string of crying and heart emojis.

She then responded to a follow-up post, writing: "Cried my eyes out," before sharing it to her own Instagram Story, tagging her daughter and writing: "Best scene ever!!!"
