If you were disappointed when Andrew Whyment’s name was missed off the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! lineup, get to the back of the queue.
Disgruntled fans of both the ITV reality show and Coronation Street are less than impressed that the man they know as Kirk Sutherland is nowhere to be seen.
Poor Kirky has seemingly been ‘booted’ from the list in favour of Ex on the Beach star Andrew Maxwell - the only name that didn’t appear on the leaked list.
Viewers had been very much looking forward to witnessing a friendship blossom between the soap actor and American TV personality Caitlin Jenner, who has been confirmed.
Before the official list was released, one tweeted: “I honestly can’t wait to see how Kirk from Corrie and Caitlyn Jenner make a friendship, best thing ever.”
A second said: “This time next week we’ll all be sitting down gettin ready to watch kirk off corrie n caitlyn jenner eat spiders n s**t and I have NEVER been so excited.”
But sadly it wasn’t meant to be - Andrew’s name is glaringly absent from the list, which also includes radio DJ Adele Roberts, Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle, former footballer Ian Wright and GMB presenter Kate Garraway.
Some people are so upset about the cull that they have ranted about it on Twitter.
One raged: “WHERE is my man Kirk from Corrie, justice for my boy.”
Another echoed the sentiments: “GUTTED...WHERE IS KIRK FROM CORRIE.”
“I’m genuinely upset that Kirk from corrie isn’t going,” agreed another.
Another posted: “I thought Andrew Whyment aka Kirk from Corrie was going in, as he would have been hysterical, don’t think CJ will be worth the money, don’t think I’ll bother this year I’ve only heard of 4 of them.”
Others hoped that we still might see the Cobbles favourite in the future.
One said: “I will protest if we don’t get Kirk from Corrie in the jungle this year as a late entrant. Where is he? Fingers crossed he is one of the late arrivals.”
