Coronation Street fans were left in tears tonight as Oliver received a shocking diagnosis.
Tonight saw Leanne and Steve be told by the doctor that Oliver was suffering from mitochondrial disease and that his life would be limited.
The diagnosis was particularly devastating for the parents as they assumed he was getting better.
Leanne immediately demanded a second opinion, but she was told by the second doctor that Oliver would face many hospital trips in his future and that his seizures could become prolonged.
Leanne refused to accept what she was hearing and screamed at Steve to show the doctors a recent video of Oliver at the petting zoo looking engaged.
And viewers at home were left emotional following the distressing scenes.
