Coronation Street fans left crying with laughter over Kirk's eyebrow-raising song

Coronation Street fans were left crying with laughter tonight as Kirk took to the stage at the bistro.

Tensions were running high at Bertie's Christening - especially when Ken discovered Beth had told the council about his dog fouling on the street.

He announced that he used to perform on stage at school as "El Kirko"

He started to sing his self penned hit "Our souls" but it was how he pronounced the words that got fans laughing.

As he burst into song viewers couldn't help but think Kirk had sung "Ar*****es are beautiful" instead of "Our souls are beautiful" and hundreds of them took to Twitter to comment on the line.

One said: "Omg dying! Kirk's song."

Another said: "This is comedy gold thanks Kirk."

A third said: "Omg Kirk with that guitar. Go El Kirko literally love Kirk far too hilarious."

And a fourth added: "Starting a campaign to get Kirk's "Your Soul, My Soul, Our Souls" to Christmas number one."

After his performance Beth begged him to consider changing his lyrics - but Kirk was adamant they were here to stay.

*Coronation Street continues at 7:30pm on ITV on Wednesday
