Coronation Street fans have been concerned about Shona Ramsey's behaviour for a while now, and they were horrified when she upset her husband David Platt by mocking his rape ordeal.
Blunt Shona, who has displayed a change in character since losing her memory when she was shot on the cobbles on Christmas Day, has been wanting to get closer to David.
But her husband has kept a distance so as not to take advantage of her current state.
Unfortunately for David, Shona took things the wrong way and thought he was rejecting her.
And he was stunned when she wrongly recalled his rape ordeal as him having a fling.
"We haven't really spoken about the thing you had with that guy Josh," she said.
"Was it Josh? The guy you slept with?"
When David tried to explain that it 'wasn't like that' she said flippantly: "Whatevs, I couldn't care less what other people get up to in the bedroom."
"I was raped, do you understand what that means?" he said, trying to contain his anger, and her social worker tried to diffuse the situation as 'misspeak' and 'crossed wires.'
But Shona didn't stop there.
"Yes I do know what rape is," she told David, who stormed out when he realised she wasn't listening.
"And I'm the one who's supposed to have mental problems," she shrugged.
"Shona, David didn't sleep with another guy. Josh raped him," said one viewer.
Aw, I feel really sorry for David, the way Shona spoke about his rape, like it was consensual. My heart is breaking for him, he was horrified!" tweeted another.
"Shona should not of talked about David's rape," another commented.
David later sought marriage advice from an unlikely source, his neighbour and former nemesis Gary Windass, who was dating his sister Sarah before she married solicitor Adam Barlow.
"She can be really blunt and it knocks you for six," he told him.
And Shona later apologised, saying: "I get my words mixed up."
David said her words had been all the more hurtful because she was the one he turned to after he was raped.
"You were the one who helped me through it, said the right things," he said.
And his wife said it only went to prove that she wasn't 'the old Shona anymore.'
Corrie actor Jack P Shepherd was highly-praised for the soap's harrowing rape storyline, when David was drugged and attacked by mechanic Josh Tucker in 2018.
After David let him go free, in January this year Josh was jailed for 15 years for rape after standing trial for another attack.
