Coronation Street fans horrified as Geoff ‘returns from the dead’ on Christmas Day

Coronation Street fans were left terrified this evening as Geoff Metcalfe 'returned from the dead' to haunt Yasmeen Nazir.

Troubled Yasmeen managed to escape Geoff's clutches earlier this month after he fell off a roof and died surrounded by chickens.

Alya's grandmother vowed that this Christmas would be the best one ever, but Yasmeen was unable to escape her abusive husband - even in death.

While preparing the dinner, Yasmeen was visibly distressed after being reminded of Geoff throughout with bottles of wine in the kitchen and Ryan's comments about drinking too much.

Noticing red crosses on the cupboards and walls, Yasmeen began to hyperventilate as Geoff's voice echoed in her head.

As her surroundings darkened, Yasmeen dropped what she had been holding.

"What the hell have you done now? You clumsy, selfish oaf," Geoff spat out as he appeared in his magician's outfit. "I said I'd protect you - all I tried to do was to make you safe! Day in, day out."

He wished her a Merry Christmas and cackled as Yasmeen found herself falling to the floor in the kitchen.

Alya could also be heard, trying to tell her gran that it was OK.

"It's just us, love, it's just us," Cathy told her. "You're safe."

"He's gone," Alya added. "For good."

But is he really gone? Could we continue to see Geoff on our screens in the New Year? Let us know what you predict for 2021 in the comments below.
