Coronation Street's Dev Alahan disgusted viewers after telling daughter Asha that her dead mum would be ashamed of her.
Asha, played by Tanisha Gorey, has had an incredibly difficult time recently after an explicit video of her taken by crush Corey Brent began circulating online.
Corey took the video without Asha's consent, which was uploaded by fellow schoolgirl Kelly Neelan.
Tonight, David Platt discovered the video after seeing that his adopted son Max had been sent it on his phone.
He immediately went to see Dev to inform him about the video, leaving him devastated.
However Dev's anger got the better of him as he raged at his daughter.
He shouted: "You know what? I've been really proud of you recently... but not today, no I am disgusted and ashamed and your mother would be too."
Asha's mum Sunita died in 2013 after being trapped in a fire in The Rovers by ex Karl Munro.
She was rescued and rushed to hospital, where she was put on a life support machine.
However Karl decided to frame Sunita for the fire by putting the pub's spare keys into her belongings.
He then returned to the hospital to pull out her oxygen tube, forcing her into cardiac arrest and she ultimately died.
The truth surrounding her death was exposed later that year.
