Corrie viewers saw Roy Cropper lose his cool tonight, in a rare outburst of anger.
Those watching the show tonight saw Roy acting out of character, shouting at Maureen Lipman, and slamming down a cake tray.
In the ITV soap, Roy's niece Nina were subject to a hate attack that killed Seb and left Nina in hospital.
When Maureen and Kirk came into the Roy's cafe, they had a chat, and when Kirk left Maureen made some mean remarks about Kirk.
"He's thicker than the cream in your cream horns", she told Roy.
Roy replied that her criticisms of him were "neither welcome nor appreciated". Maureen laughed it off and said it was a wonder "his was the fasted tadpole in the race."
This second comment made Roy see red. He slammed down a cake tray and told her it was "people like her" and their critical attitudes that saw his niece attacked and Seb killed.
Maureen said she was nothing like the people that attacked Nina and Seb. She left the cafe, declaring she had been "cancelled by Cropper".
Viewers rushed to praise Roy.
