Coronation Street viewers are worried that one of the ITV soap's much-loved couples could be headed for splitsville.
Carla Connor and Peter Barlow, who are complete couple goals, have been on and off over the years, but finally reunited for good last year.
Peter helped the love of his life through her mental breakdown, with her suffering severe psychosis over the factory roof collapse.
While the pair have been on track ever since, she was left a little worried on Wednesday night that he could be getting a little too close to former fling Abi Franklin.
Peter stopped Abi from taking drugs and relapsing this week, after her recent loss left her in turmoil after an accident.
After being rushed to hospital she wasn't able to say goodbye to her young twins, who had been adopted and were starting a new life in Australia with their new family.
While Abi claimed she was fine, Peter caught her stealing morphine from the hospital and decided to act.
Checking in on her at home, he took the morphine before pouring it down the drain.
Following that, he proceeded to check up on her a couple more times to make sure she was okay, before offering his help.
He encouraged her to attend a meeting to open up about her addictions, promising to be there for her anytime.
Abi didn't want her partner Kevin Webster to find out any of what had gone on, so asked Peter to stay quiet and keep things between them.
Peter ended up having to tell Carla the truth, after she realised he had lied about where he had been.
But she couldn't help panic when he explained how ex Abi was leaning on him for support.
As Peter revealed he was paying visits to Abi and planned to help her through her ongoing turmoil, Carla couldn't help but worry the pair might get too close.
She wasn't the only one though, with viewers watching at home also fearing their beloved Peter and Carla may be torn apart by the soap in an affair twist.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "If the writers split up Carla & Peter again I'm going to stop watching!"
Another wrote: "Is this gonna be a storyline where Carla gets paranoid and Peter falls into bed with Abi?"
A third tweeted: "I hope Peter doesn’t have an affair with Abi but you know what the soaps are like."
Meanwhile, another fan said: "Corrie Peter will be in bed with Abi before Xmas."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm on ITV.
