Coronation Street fans fear chilling Hope Stape twist after fire confession

Coronation Street aired fresh suspicion about youngster Hope Stape on Wednesday night, as she continued to be blamed for a recent fire.

Ali Neeson risked his life when he ran into the burning factory this week, which had been set alight.

Hope was inside and began screaming for help, leading to the heroic rescue from the doctor.

It wasn't long before Hope was accused of starting the fire, given her past antics, after her story about what happened didn't add up.

On Wednesday, Hope continued to deny she was behind the fire, but not everyone was convinced.

She has caused a fire in the past, setting fire to a trampoline in her garden.

Hope also bullied her sister Ruby, while also sabotaging belongings of some of her neighbours and family friends.

Hope is the daughter of John Stape (ITV)

Fiz Brown's daughter is the child of former serial killer John Stape, and now fans are thinking she's taken on his bad ways.

While Hope continued to claim her innocence, viewers were convinced she started the fire and that this was the start of a huge new plot for her.

Taking to Twitter , one fan said: "Hope Stape in the future will be a killer like her dad."

Another said: "Is Hope going to be the new serial killer?"

A third agreed: "Well Hope you are going back before you kill the whole of the street off, just like your father."

Meanwhile, another fan noticed: "Planned or just coincidence that Hope set fire to the same floor in Underworld that her Dad dumped Colin Fishwicks body?"

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
