Coronation Street fans excited for a Platt versus Barlow feud

Fans were excited while watching tonight's Coronation Street on ITV as two popular families have come to loggerheads.

In recent episodes, Barlow relative Daniel Osbourne has been accused of grooming student Summer Spellman by Max Platt and the Barlow's - mostly Tracey - aren't standing for it.

Daniel was just helping Summer with exams, when her crush went too far and ended up making him look guilty, leading to him being questioned by both the school and the police.

In disagreement with the whole thing, Tracey Barlow has been running her mouth as usual, never one to be known for keeping her opinions to herself, about David's son Max Platt.

She is disgusted by the way that the youngster has been treating the teacher and hasn't been afraid to speak her mind.

On tonight's show, while speaking to Emma, Tracey said: "That Platt lad is off his rocker, like the rest of his flaming family."

Fans on Twitter were delighted with the drama and the feud between the families.

One user said: "Cue a Platt vs Barlow feud! #Corrie"

Ryan said: "Tracey calling Max dysfunctional take a look at your own family love #Corrie" with laughing faces.

Chris said: "Lol. Tracey Barlow is on fire tonight."

Jamal said: "Don't hold back Tracey, say it as it is."

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV and ITVHub
