Coronation Street viewers were left stunned, and some angry, as David Platt hooked up with Alina Pop.
The latest episode of the ITV soap didn't reveal how far the pair went during raunchy scenes on the couch.
While both characters appeared mostly clothed and were only seen kissing, some fans believed that the pair had slept together.
Either way, not everyone was happy with this given David is still married to Shona Ramsey.
Shona doesn't remember her husband after suffering memory loss as a result of a recent shooting.
The character suffered complications and was left in a coma, before waking up and having no memory of the past few years.
David has done everything he can to support her, but she keeps refusing him access at the hospital where she is recovering.
Since then David has struggled to cope, and has begun to go off the rails.
Getting drunk in the latest episode, he decided to try and get over Shona - giving up on a chance of them reuniting, unsure it could ever happen.
He got cosy with Alina, and it wasn't long before the pair got intimate, leaving her ex Seb Franklin stunned.
Viewers were also surprised, as scenes saw them snogging on the sofa.
But not everyone was disappointed by this and while some hit out at David for cheating, and others shared their dislike of the coupling, others confessed they actually preferred him with Alina than Shona.
One fan said: "As much as I love David & Shona. There’s no denying the chemistry between him and Alina."
Another agreed: "I’m sort of...maybe...loving David and Alina’s dynamic."
A third tweeted: "I love Shona I really do but perhaps I’m enjoying these David and Alina scenes a little more than I should be."
