Coronation Street fans were left devastated tonight, as one character left the cobbles for good.
Tim and Steve were messing around in the cab office as per usual, when the phone went off.
Steve answered and was soon shouting down the phone at the employee on the other end of the line.

Steve ended the call saying: "Well you have to come in tomorrow for your last shift" and slammed the phone down.
Tim looked at him shocked as Steve explained that "Fat Brenda" was leaving them for rival firm "GoLucky"
And it's safe to say viewers were shocked.
One said: "I can't believe Fat Brenda has turned her back on StreetCars. It's the end of an era."
Another said: "Fat Brenda's actually officially now totally quit Streetcars seriously?"
A third said: "Nooo Fat Brenda can’t leave Street Cars."

And a fourth added: "What, no more Fat Brenda? Nooooooooooooooooooo."
Despite being talked about for many years Brenda has never actually appeared on screen, with viewers left wondering what she actually looked like.
