Coronation Street viewers have switched their allegiance after ranking a different character their favourite.
In the past, classic stars like Roy Cropper, Gail Platt or Kirk Sutherland have always held the top spot.
But lots of viewers were in agreement tonight - that one person was the standout star of the show.
Fans of the show were in stitches as Mary was convinced noises coming from Eileen's attic were from the ghost of Pat Phelan.

However, Todd Grimshaw has actually been hiding upstairs for the past week.
Spooked out by the noises, Mary asked local vicar Billy to perform an exorcism.
Even though Billy has no experience in performing spiritual practices, he went ahead to try and calm Mary down.
But when Todd suddenly appears at the top of the stairs, Mary and Billy stared open-mouthed.
Fans were in tears over Mary's reaction as she was convinced Pat Phelan was haunting the house.
One tweeted: "Mary is the best character and no one can change my mind."
Han said: "I believe Mary is the best character in Coronation Street ever."
