Coronation Street fans confused as Fiz 'forgets' who she is related to

Coronation Street's Fiz Stape is hoping her luck in love has changed.

After being dumped by her long term partner Tyrone, the Weatherfield mum, played by Jennie McAlpine, has fallen for new boyfriend Phill, after meeting in July.

It's been a whirlwind romance, with the couple planning to move in together.

Their relationship took another big step this week, when Fiz agreed it was okay for Phill, played by Jamie McKenna, to refer to himself as Hope and Ruby's stepdad.

But despite Tyrone's infidelity with Alina being the cause for their split, some Corrie fans are struggling to warm to Fiz's new ideas.

Some have said she is "going too far".

While Hope is her biological daughter, Tyrone shares Ruby with his abusive ex-fiancée Kirsty Soames.

And some viewers are now wondering if Fiz has forgotten their true relationship.

Taking to Twitter, _taraaxo said: "Nah Fiz is going too far now. She ain't Ruby's mum so she can forget taking her to this new house.

"She may have brought her up but Ruby needs to be with her dad too. Tyrone do not sell that house, stand your ground! I don't trust Phill at all #Corrie"

OrlaBracken85 said: "Why is Fiz taking Ruby away has she adopted her? #Corrie"

Elaine Wharton said: "No mention from anyone about Fiz taking off with Tyrone's daughter! Come on, would that really happen?"

Bernadine Kennedy said: "Who else is screaming at the telly... ‘Ruby isn’t Fiz’s daughter’??? #Corrie"

Coronation Street continues on ITV and the ITV Hub at 8pm on Friday
