Coronation Street fans complain about the 'wonky' cameras in tonight's episodes

Coronation Street fans took to Twitter to complain about the 'wonky' cameras in tonight's episodes.

As violence broke out in the prison where David Platt is being held, Corrie viewers remarked that the camera angles looked different.

@I_Am_KenBarlow tweeted: "What's gone wrong with the picture quality tonight?"

"Don't quite know what it is but there's something wonky with the @ITVCorrie camera quality tonight," said TV journalist Andy Gibson.

"Are they using a different camera or lens tonight on Corrie, or do I need to go to Specsavers?" asked another viewer.

"It's awful," repiled another soap watcher.

And another asked: "Are Coronation Street using new camera technology it looks like Casualty and Neighbours?"

Another viewer defended the scenes as part of an epic week including the prison riot with David facing a dilemma as he meets his rapist Josh Tucker again.

"I can’t understand why people are complaining about the camera quality/angles and direction in tonight’s Corrie," they said.

"I love these special episodes and seeing just how much hard work has gone into them.

"Well done to all cast and crew involved, one episode in and I’m already blown away."

Other fans explained the camera work.

"It’s the type of camera. It’s to try and make it more dramatic and movie style," said one.

"It's a slower fps," said another.

"Film is very rarely used anymore. I myself prefer the original which was 25fps."
