Coronation Street's Sally Metcalfe did not get the reaction she was hoping for from husband Tim on Wednesday night.
He walked in on a tense exchange between her and his father Geoff Metcalfe, who was screaming at her for visiting his wife Yameen Nazir in prison.
Yasmeen was arrested after a brutal attack saw her stab husband Geoff in the neck with a broken glass bottle, while it was in self-defence
Geoff had isolated her and controlled her for months, by keeping her in the house, forcing her to clean constantly and stealing her money - isolating her from her loved ones.
Events led to the deadly attack, and Yasmeen has been in prison ever since - while at a recent court hearing she pleaded not guilty to attempted murder.
Sally visited her in prison on Monday after growing suspicious that maybe Yasmeen was abused after all - and that Geoff wasn't innocent like he claimed.
He has made out it was him who was the victim of an abusive marriage, but Sally stood up to him and told him what she really thought.
As Tim walked in to find Geoff being aggressive towards his wife, he was stunned and fuming, before demanding answers.
It's then that Geoff acted innocent yet again claiming she had visited Yasmeen, the woman who had "tried to kill him".
Tim wasn't impressed with his behaviour though and told him to leave before confronting his wife.
He had a go at her and made it clear he did not have her back, sticking by his father.
Sally confessed she was scared in that moment with Geoff, and wasn't sure what he might do to her.
But Tim ignored this and blamed her, before telling her: "How can you do that? If It wasn't bad enough kicking him out, forcing me to take sides... this is another level."
Tim added: "If you think I’m gonna back you on this you've got another thing coming."
He also defended his dad, as Sally told Tim exactly what Yasmeen had said he had done to her.
Tim had an answer for everything, and continued to claim Yasmeen was lying and making "something of nothing".
Viewers were furious with Tim for how he spoke to Sally, and for letting his father get away with everything - but will he finally learn the truth?
