Coronation Street fans were left baffled after Friday's episode of the show.
Fans of the long-running soap tuned into the first part of tonight's double header to be greeted by an unfamiliar face in David Platt's home.
The character was David's adopted son, Max Turner, who has recently been recast in the show.

Max had previously been played by Harry McDermott - but Paddy Bever has taken on the role this week.
Tonight's episode started with David arguing with Max as he has been misbehaving at school - but fans were distracted by the transformation.
Viewers of the show took to Twitter in disbelief at how quickly Max has aged.
Dan said: "How has max gone from about 7 to 16 in a year?
Kyle added: "Think Max should be teaching Daniel as he looks twice his age."
@KingZairois commented: "Max went from a 14 year old to a 22 year old.
Lee posted: "Max doesn't get any homework because he's a teacher."
Katie said: "The new Max almost looks older than David Platt."
A spokesperson for ITV announced the character was set to be recast earlier this year after Harry McDermott had played the role for 11 years.
They said: “We have all watched Harry grow up alongside Max Turner for the past 11 years and we want to thank him for everything he has brought to the character.
"It is always a difficult decision to recast a role and we look forward to following Harry's career as he continues with his acting studies and explores other opportunities. We wish him every success for the future."
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV and ITVHub
