Coronation Street fans baffled by Eileen's house as more people move in - but star explains all

Coronation Street fans have been left baffled by Eileen Grimshaw's house as more people move in.

In Friday's edition of the ITV soap, viewers saw the return of Sean Tully, played by Antony Cotton, with his son Dylan in tow.

Dylan, whose Sean's son with his friend Violet Wilson, returned to Weatherfield after 10 years off-screen.

His arrival comes just after Eileen's son Todd made a reappearance.

But this now means five people, including Eileen, Sean and Mary, are now living in Eileen's terraced house.

And it has baffled viewers.

"How on EARTH are they fitting two more people into Eileen’s sylvanian family sized house??" one commented.

Another joked: "Somebody grass Eileen up please. There must be more than 6 people in that house by now #Corrie."

"How can Eileen... Mary... Sean... Todd... and Dylan all fit in that house? Must be a squeeze! #corrie," questioned a third.

But Corrie star Antony has attempted to explain.

On the arrival of Dylan, he said: "He's [Sean] worried about the sleeping arrangements as who's going to fit where.

Sean and Dylan are back at Eileen's house (ITV)

"Eileen's house is a Tardis."

Antony went on: "Sean lives in the front parlour and up north they used to have a parlour because they never had toilets. The front parlour was an extra room.

"Now, some people would have it as a bedroom as there wasn't a toilet upstairs. They had a two up, two down and one out back.

"So Sean has always been in the front parlour and we're saying that upstairs there is three bedrooms."

He added: "So there is room although, it does appear like a mad house when you have got each room sleeping with two people in.

"But as the old northern saying goes, the best house is a full house."

Antony also teased that another person may be heading to Eileen's house so it could be about to get a whole lot busier.

Coronation Street returns Monday night at 7.30pm on ITV.
