Coronation Street fans baffled as Billy forgets he's a killer and dumps 'dangerous' Paul

Coronation Street viewers were left perplexed this evening over vicar Billy dumping Paul because he's dangerous - coincidentally forgetting that he killed someone in the past.

Tonight, Billy left Paul utterly devastated as he decided to end things between them after putting Summer in danger.

Will, who Paul had been in contact with, trashed the flat on Todd's orders but Summer came home early and stumbled upon him.

She ran out into the path of an oncoming car and was rushed to hospital and was thankfully fine.

But after discovering that Will was to blame, Billy was furious and announced that he was "putting Summer first" and decided to end things with Paul.

Yet fans were left confused, pointing out that Billy was certainly no saint and was probably more of a danger to Summer himself.

One questioned: "Have the writers forgotten that Billy killed Susan Barlow and also became a drug addict for a while??? #Corrie."

While another tweeted: "Billy the guy who looked out for and helped David’s rapist but wants his relationship to end with Paul because he helped a kid who was being abused. Hmmmmmmm #corrie #coronationstreet."

A third wrote: "Oh C'mon Billy, honesty my foot, you were involved in killing Adam's mother who died in a car crash and you got away with it. Hypocrite springs to mind Billy #corrie."

"Did billy forget he was the one who caused the car crash that killed Susan? #corrie," another pointed out.

One commented: "Er wasn't Billy a drug addict?! #Corrie."
