Coronation Street fans annoyed as Jenny is 'replaced'

Some Coronation Street fans have been left unimpressed as they believe Jenny Connor has been "replaced".

The Rovers landlady is known for being strong, confident and for not standing for any nonsense. But recently, many viewers think she's acting almost like a different person.

Jenny has let Stephen Reid get close to her in recent weeks, completely unaware that Stephen killed her fiancé Leo Thompkins, just as they were both about to start a new life in Canada.

Stephen murdered Leo after he discovered his scheme to get his hands on Audrey's money. Poor Leo was pushed from the factory roof into a skip, and Stephen later buried him.

He later tried to kill Teddy, by trying to switch off his life support as he lay in hospital after being hit by a van. Jenny interrupted, and Teddy has since regained consciousness.

Stephen and Jenny visited Teddy in hospital, prompting many fans to make similar comments. Taking to Twitter, Susie said: "How does Stephen get time to keep following Jenny around when he's meant to have a job?"

Gemma said: "Remember when Jenny used to be a strong, clever woman? Now she's been replaced with a non-character who doesn't even notice she's being stalked by Stephen". Chloe said: "Why isn’t anyone asking why Stephen follows Jenny around?", while Beth said: "Annoys me that Stephen is following our Jenny around like a leech right now".

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
