Coronation Street electrocution horror as resident rushed to hospital after blunder

Ed Bailey will receive the shock of his life next week - quite literally.

The builder, played by Trevor Michael Georges, will get to work at Debbie's hotel when a horrifying accident sees him rushed to hospital on Coronation Street.

The week begins fairly normally for Ed as wife Aggie lays down the law, telling him that that he's fixing Steve's roof for mates rates and that's an end to the matter.

Ronnie goes on to show Ed and Paul a photo of a derelict pub and suggests that they buy it together, knock it down and redevelop it for housing.

How will Aggie react?

On Friday, Ed begins to work on a radiator at Debbie's hotel, but is suddenly electrocuted and propelled backwards and rendered unconscious.

His brother panics and tells Paul to call for an ambulance while Debbie realises with horror that she's not sure when an inspection was last carried out as Ray was known for cutting corners.

Aggie is terrified and furious in equal measure and slams Debbie for endangering Ed's life, telling her that she will be hearing from their solicitor.

Will he be OK?

Elsewhere, Maria is terrified when a creepy guy approaches her an tells her how much he enjoyed her online video.

After running off, she tells Gary that she thinks she's being tracked and, while scrambling in her bag, comes across a tracking device.

She destroys the device and calls the police to report what has happened.

Later on in the week, Maria takes the day off work as Liam isn't feeling well.

Craig tells her that Jimmy is guilty of posting the malicious messages but when she heads outside, Jimmy approaches her menacingly and tells her that she'll live to regret blabbing to the police...
