Coronation Street double death teased as villain 'out for blood'

Coronation Street looks set for yet another double exit - just a week after Evelyn and her daughter's taxi departure on Friday.

One of those could be Spider, who only made a reappearance on the ITV soap, which airs on Virgin Media in Ireland, last year.

Spider made a shock return to Weatherfield in 2022 after 19 years away, with his identity later exposed as an undercover police officer attempting to convict an underground hate group.

He had befriended far-right extremist Griff Reynolds, who began grooming Max Turner. Spider had been planning to give all the evidence he had received about Griff to his boss to get him convicted, but Griff managed to figure out he was a cop and brutally beat him up.

Griff went on to plan to bomb the winter market on Coronation Street, but his plot was foiled after Max warned everyone and Alya drove the bomb off where no one would be hurt.

After finally leaving hospital, Spider arrested Griff for conspiracy to commit murder.

Next week, Spider attends a meeting with his superintendent, who tells him about a new job which could mean moving away with a new identity.

Will he agree to the job despite his blossoming relationship with Toyah? And will it really protect him from Griff, who's out for blood?

Later, Toyah discovers a bank statement showing Spider is nowhere as skint as he has been making out and goes through his laptop. She discovers that he's been emailing his ex and searching for houses near her.

When she questions him about what she's found, Spider tries to explain that he's been trying to accelerate his divorce and his savings went on something for her.

In a shocking twist, he gets down on one knee and asks her to marry him... how will she respond?

Ryan is planning to jet off to Ireland (ITV)

Later, Spider receives a message from his pursuer with instructions to meet and without telling Toyah, Spider tells his superiors.

As his colleagues watch covertly, Spider waits in Frshco's car park to meet his enemy, but no one turns up.

Meanwhile at the flat, a woman arrives claiming to be Spider's wife. As Toyah makes conversation, Leanne bumps into Spider and is shocked when he reveals his wife isn’t in the country.

Spider phones Toyah and warns her the woman is an imposter. Panicked, Toyah tries to act normal but when Leanne and Spider burst into the flat they find signs of a disturbance, no Toyah or Sam, and blood on the floor....

Another resident who could be leaving the cobbles for good is Ryan, who has had a tough time since becoming the victim of an acid attack.

Despite being engaged to Daniel, Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) had been messaging Ryan pretending to be Crystal. However, she appeared to catch feelings for him as they bonded in the wake of the attack.

The pair ended up kissing behind Daniel's back, but Ryan later figured out that Daisy was the catfish pretending to be Crystal. Devastated, Ryan told Daisy he didn't want to see her again.

However, when Peter reveals next week that Ryan is leaving for Ireland, Daisy rushes out.

Will he actually leave the cobbles?
