Coronation Street devil child Hope turns killer as she sets fire to the factory

Hope Stape looks set to turn into a killer just like father John when she starts a fire in the factory.

The devil child, who left Weatherfield in a bid to sort out her worrying behaviour, tries to cause another knicker factory massacre.

The brat lies to the police when questioned over the devastating blaze and even manages to convince mum Fiz that she is telling the truth.

Hope puts her nasty scheme into action and slips out unnoticed when Fiz and Tyrone have a heated row.

The horrified parents call the police and send out a search party - unaware that Hope is setting light to some cardboard boxes in the factory.

As the fire starts to burn, Hope realises she is in danger and starts screaming out for help.

Ali and Maria hear her cries coming from the factory and are stunned to see her trapped inside.

Hero of the hour Ali manages to forced his way inside through the smoke and emerges carrying out the schoolgirl.

Fiz and Tyrone are relieved that Hope is unharmed, while Maria is very pleased that Ali is safe.

But questions are quickly asked about how the potentially life-threatening situation arose in the first place.

During an interview with the police, Hope claims she saw two lads running away from the scene.

But Tyrone realises that his step daughter is lying - and it soon becomes clear their troubles are far from over.

Arguments ensue between Fiz, Tyrone and Evelyn as disagree over how to deal with the troublesome child.

Gullible Fiz believes her daughter's lies when she turns on the waterworks and starts crying.

Fiz decides that the best thing for Hope is to home school her whilst they wait for a place at Bessie Street to open up.

But Tyrone worries that Hope will see being home schooled as an easy ride and her behaviour will get worse.

Fiz then checks no one is watching before making a suspicious phone call.
