Coronation Street David's chippy request leaves fans confused

Fans took to Twitter while watching Tuesday's hour-long episode of Coronation Street to share how funny they found David Platt's odd request in his local chippy.

Long-term character David, played by Jack P Shepherd, wanted chips but not the type that you usually find in a chip shop.

He asked for curly fries and it made fans laugh.

Viewers posted on Twitter to share their amusement and bafflement.

Jamie said: "What chippy sells curly fries #Corrie."

Ryan said: "David's obsession with Curly fries #Corrie" followed by a bunch of laughing emojis.

Another user said: "It's all about curly fries! #Corrie."

David pretended like his request for the fries was for the kids, but Bernie knew better as she said: "They're for you aren't they?" to which he replied yes.

Bernie quipped: "I can do you some straight fries and you can take them home put rollers in them."

Tonight's episode also saw Nina lose the ring which Seb gave to her before he passed away.

Kelly heard and tried to help and presented Nina with a ring, making out it’s the one that she’d lost.

Nina wasn't impressed and knew it wasn't the same ring, but Kelly admitted that she took a trip to York in a bid to find a replacement as a way of showing her how sorry she is.

Nina wasn'y interested and threw the ring back at her, leaving Kelly heartbroken.

Aadi also approached Dev to try and get funding off him for his rent in London, but instead Dev offered him a position as general manager for all three of his stores.

Dev received a new car which is later scratched and he automatically accused Kelly of damaging his new vehicle.

And Leanne and Nick sought help for mute Sam, when they spoke to a therapist online who referred the youngster to mental health services for talking therapy.
