Coronation Street 's Emma Brooker will meet the man of her dreams in an upcoming storyline on the soap, bosses have revealed.
Unlucky in love Emma (Alexandra Mardell) will find her Prince Charming, but Ian Macleod would give no more information away.
He told The Sun: "There’s what I think will be a really brilliant storyline for Emma but I can’t talk about it in a lot of detail without giving it away.
"There’s a massive new love story for Emma. Emma wants her prince charming and she’s going to get her wish, but it’s going to be a very interesting version of her wish.
"She’s going to get the man of her dreams."
Emma has so far been in love with David Platt, who is married to Shona McGarthy, Chesney Brown - who ended up with Gemma Winter, and Seb Franklin, but their relationship ended when his ex Alina Pop arrived.
Alexandra recently dressed up as some of the show’s most famous and feisty ladies and did impersonations of them.
She said: "It’s such an honour to follow these amazing women on the cobbles.
"The looks were so different but what they have in common is they’re strong, feisty women who aren't afraid to speak their mind."
Asked if she thought one day her character Emma would be celebrated as a show icon in 60 years' time, she replied: "I love playing Emma.
"I'd not done much comedy so I was a bit worried about her silly ways but I’ve really enjoyed it.
"She has the best of both worlds now – sometimes she’s comedy, sometimes it’s tragedy."
"I am hoping there’s many more years for me and more to come from Emma."
