Coronation Street confirms date fans will find out who caused factory roof collapse

Coronation Street viewers really don’t have that long to wait until they find out who damaged the factory roof and caused the collapse.

The incident claimed the life of Rana Habeeb after she became trapped inside on her wedding day to Kate Connor.

It appears just three suspects remain, with it set to be revealed that either Nick Tilsley, Robert Preston or Gary Windass were behind the chaos according to a photo released by ITV.

The ITV soap have now revealed all will come out next week, even giving the date of the episode in which fans will learn the truth.

Viewers will have to tune in to the episode that airs on Wednesday 29th May on ITV at 9pm, as this is the big reveal.

Fans had originally been led to believe that a special episode focusing on Carla’s mental health would lead to the confirmation.

Carla, the factory owner, suffered a mental breakdown in the fallout to Rana’s death due to the guilt and accusations that she was to blame.

She had known there was existing damage to the factory roof, with many blaming her for Rana’s death after believing said damage was the cause, before it was eventually revealed the building had been tampered with.

As her mental health continues to decline, next week will see the soap air a special episode as Carla suffers extreme psychosis.

However, while this episode might include more about the mystery culprit, it will not be the big reveal episode with it now known that the villain will be identified two days earlier.

It’s reported that said character will then go on to cause more havoc in the Street once identified to viewers, being the next big soap villain.

This hints that while viewers will learn the truth, Weatherfield residents are unlikely to discover the same news for a while yet.

It’s not known when the truth will out and if the culprit will face comeuppance, or what else he has planned for those living on the Cobbles.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
