Things got even messier for the former couple after Maria confinded in her ex about her suspicions of Gary before he admitted that he never stopped loving her and they shared a passionate kiss.

Soon viewers will see Ali visiting Maria in the barber shop where he begs her not to marry the loan shark.

But Maria is unimpressed and summons Ali to the ginnel and orders him to stay out of her life after their recent romantic reunion.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
