Coronation Street: chaos on the cobbles

The cobbled streets of Coronation Street are a world away from Hollywood. If we didn't already know that, then two examples of life on the Street go some way to prove it, reports the Daily Mirror. First, actor Sue Clever, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, took an accidental smack in the chops while filming a fight scene. Clever fell to the floor and required a doctor, according to the Mirror. If that wasn't bad enough, it emerged that Coronation Street has suffered its fair share of real-life crime amid the on-screen antics. In the past 10 years police have been called to the soap's ITV Studios in Manchester 71 times for offences ranging from assault to criminal damage. Perhaps we'll settle for the Woolpack.
