Coronation Street cast members 'fight over' Toyah Habeeb star on Instagram

Coronation Street stars have had their say after Toyah Habeeb actress Georgia Taylor showed off a new look on social media.

Kel Allen, who played Laura Neelan in the soap until April, won viewers' hearts after her character sacrificed herself to ensure her daughter Kelly's future. Laura falsely confessed to husband Rick's murder so that Gary Windass - who had actually killed the loan shark - would be able to look after Kelly.

Kelly was also looked after by Toyah and Imran Habeeb for a time, suggesting the actress who players her - Millie Gibson - is close to all three of her co-stars.

On Thursday, Kel shared a snap of herself with Georgia and Millie on Instagram. In the photo, Georgia has new blonde locks - similar to the other women.

Captioning the picture, Kel said: "When Battersby / Habeeb became a fully fledged blonde Neelan. Welcome to the family @realgeorgiataylor". Making a reference to Imran Habeeb star Charlie De Melo, Millie commented: "Charlie's Angels".

Leanne Battersby actress Jane Danson wasn't having it. She said: "Nope … sorry she's always gonna be a Battersby [laughing emoji]". And one fan, named Charlotte, replied: "They're fighting over you Toyah!".

Other fans were also quick to comment, with many complimenting the women. Vanessa Bristol said: "You’re all stunning have a fab weekend lovely ladies", while Mandy Jones said: "Beautiful ladies. You're all such amazing actresses xxx".
