Coronation Street: Carla makes heartbreaking confession as a shock death looms

Coronation Street’s Carla Connor makes a concerning admission on Wednesday, leaving partner Peter Barlow stunned.

Carla suffered a mental breakdown after the factory roof collapse which killed Rana Habeeb, after she blamed herself, with other residents also saying it was her fault.

She had known the roof was damaged, unaware that someone actually tampered with it further leading to the incident.

Amid her mental breakdown, she suffered severe paranoia and this week the soap airs a special episode as her psychosis reaches dangerous heights.

In Wednesday’s episode, things take a worrying turn when she makes an admission about Rana.

As DS Beckett arrives at the flat to question her about recent goings on, Carla’s left unnerved over the mention of the factory roof.

She grows confused and upset, still coming to terms with everything that has happened and remaining frightened of those around her.

But it soon becomes clear that she’s still convinced Rana is alive and hasn’t really died, leaving the detective stunned.

Peter gives Carla her medication having been told to make sure she takes it, but unbeknown to him she flushes it down the toilet.

Meanwhile, amid Carla’s psychosis, another character faces turmoil on the Street as he’s told he’s going to die.

Gary Windass has been kidnapped and attacked by villain Rick Neelan, who thinks he stole a bunch of passports from his office.

On Wednesday, Rick makes it clear things are only going to go one way, and reveals his plans to murder Gary.

Will Gary manage to escape, or is this the end of the road for the character?

Coronation Street airs all this week at 9pm on ITV.
