Jennie McAlpine ’s return to Coronation Street has been confirmed by TV bosses with a cute photo.
Jennie, who plays Fiz Brown, has been on maternity leave since last year, giving birth to her second child Hilda in October.
To mark her return to the cobbles, a photo of the actress and her on-screen family has been uploaded to the ITV soap’s Twitter page.
Fiz was temporarily written out of the soap by show bosses after it transpired her troubled daughter Hope, played by Isabella Flanagan, needed to go to a special school due to her bad behaviour.
Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and his daughter Ruby stayed in Weatherfield while Fiz took Hope to the school, situated in Birmingham.

In the photo, Tyrone, Ruby, Evelyn, Fiz and Hope can be seen sitting together in the Bistro raising a glass to the camera.
The Corrie account tweeted the accompanying message: "Look who's back in Weatherfield! Welcome home @jenniemcalpine and Isabella! #Fiz #Hope #FamilyReunion #Corrie."

Jennie retweeted the post with the comment: “Posh tea in the bistro for our homecoming. What a lovely day.”
Fiz has missed out on a number of big happenings while she was away - she is yet to find out that she is about to become an aunty to quads after it was revealed brother Chesney is expecting four babies with Gemma Winter.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
