Actors in Coronation Street and Emmerdale are reportedly prohibited from signing up to racy members-only site OnlyFans.
The report comes in the wake of Sarah Jayne Dunn being sacked from her longstanding role as Mandy Richardson in Hollyoaks after she announced she'd signed up to the 18+ site.
Hollyoaks bosses at the time claimed Sarah's saucy photos were not suitable for their "youth audience" and ended the actress' contract after they were 'unable to reach an agreement'.
However it's now claimed all actors on Corrie and Emmerdale are banned from signing up to the lucrative platform.
According to The Sun, ITV has banned anything that could cast the broadcaster in a dim light, including cosmetic surgery, diet products and “adult entertainment.”
A source said: “Stars like former Corrie actor Helen Flanagan are inundated with opportunities to promote products on platforms including Instagram.
“And earnings can often dwarf any salary actors get paid on the soaps, meaning it can be more lucrative to leave the shows to effectively sell goods.
“But they spell out in black and white what’s deemed unacceptable - as previously it’s been a grey area.”

According to the outlet, ITV has informed their stars what shows they can star in, as well as what they can promote online so that it doesn't impact the channel.
When contacted, an ITV spokesperson told The Mirror they don't comment on contractual matters.
Since leaving Hollyoaks, Sarah, 40, has spoken out about how she feels empowered when she models in sexy shots and doesn't bare anymore flesh than she has for other non-subscription sites or even Hollyoaks' own calendar.
The mum-of-one said on Instagram: "I feel sexy and strong and confident when I shoot images like this."
Sarah also admitted that she understood the images weren't for everyone, which is why she is now putting them on OnlyFans.
She said: "I'll undoubtedly be judged, some might find it shocking, but I'm simply moving my sexier, racier images to another platform, I'm not sure what's shocking about it."
On Thursday, Sarah broke her silence after reportedly being sacked from Hollyoaks,
The actress posted on her Instagram Story a message to her followers, in which she said: "Thank you for your support".
Sarah, who had posed for a number of lads mags earlier in her career, had said that she was using OnlyFans as a platform for her "racier images".
She said: “This is a decision I’ve thought long and hard about, not one I’ve taken lightly or on a whim, it’s about taking back control, about empowerment and confidence and having full power over my choices."
However a Hollyoaks spokesperson said: “We take our responsibility to our young audience very seriously and therefore the show does not allow any Hollyoaks cast members to be active on certain 18+ websites."
