William is not the only longstanding soap star to have made this year's list.
EastEnders stalwart June Brown has also received an OBE.
Now 94, June played Dot Cotton for more than three decades, becoming a fan favourite after first gracing our screens as the devout Christian launderette assistant in 1985.
The news comes after EastEnders actress Nina Wadia, who plays Zainab Masood, and Corrie's Sally Dyvenor both received honours in 2021.
At the time, Sally said she was "humbled, grateful and very proud".
Other famous faces set to receive honours this year include Joanna Lumley, who has said she is "astonished, thrilled and touched beyond words" at being made a dame, and James Bond star Daniel Craig, who has been made a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George, the same honour given to 007.
