Coronation Street star James Burrows has shared the first photos of his newborn daughter.
The actor, who plays Ali Neeson in the ITV soap, welcomed Betty Florence Burrows into the world with long-term girlfriend Sophie Coates on April 25 - a week early.
Sophie was induced after she developed pre-eclampsia. She then went on to have a gruelling 46 hour labour followed by a 10-day hospital stay after Betty, who weighed 6lb 3oz, had an infection.
James, 27, told this week's OK! Magazine : "It was quite a stressful time. I just wanted to get them both home."
Sophie explained that she was "in and out" of hospital from around 30 weeks and it was on the final visit that she found out she had pre-eclampsia which can present itself with high blood pressure.
The 30-year-old said that it was safer for her to be induced and described the almost two-day birth as "intense".
But the family of three are now happily together at home.
"It was the best moment of my life when she arrived," James added.
